Freestyle Design Services Music Selection As anyone who has designed a freestyle will tell you, finding music that suits your horse and that is in the right tempo is the hardest and most time consuming part of the design process. Applause draws from a wide range of music styles, and offers a variety of approaches to finding the right music. It is important for all the music in a freestyle to go well together - Applause specializes in finding music for the introduction and all the paces that has thematic, stylistic, and/or instrumental consistency. The music used is from existing recordings, and is not created on a computer. In other words, only REAL music is used. Digital Editing Applause Dressage can edit music into a smoothly flowing freestyle using state of the art software. Music used for freestyles is rarely perfect when we start; tempos need to be adjusted to match the horse, pieces of music have to be made shorter or longer to suit the needs of the choreography, parts need to be made louder or quieter, and different pieces have to be mixed together to allow for smooth transitions between paces. Editing services are not restricted to clients having a freestyle designed by Applause; if you have selected music already, or want to reuse music from a freestyle you have already performed, Applause can edit your music and produce a CD for use in competitions. Choreography Good choreography is essential to a good result in competition. Applause Dressage creates patterns that show off the horse's strengths, interpret the music to its best advantage, and use the arena inventively. Applause also guarantees that your choreography will include all the compulsory movements for your level, and that it won't include movements of a higher level that could cause elimination.
